When you buy a pc (desktop or laptop) apart from the CPU you will need to aquire a range or peripherals (accessories) so that you can maximise its function. A peripheral is any piece of computer hardware that is added to a computer in order to expand its abilities. For you this means those devices that are optional in nature, as opposed to hardware that is either demanded or always required in principle. |

| Are You Getting Value Quite often when getting a cheap computer you have to spend heaps on the optional extras whereas when you purchase quality computer systems you often find all you need is included in the package. Desktop computers generaly need more peripherals than laptops because the laptop usually has more built in, but you pay for it as a consequence. Make sure that as much as practicable that when considering your peripheral needs that the full range of computer uses, now and in near future, are considered so you do aquire the computer accessories that will take care of all your needs. Getting them individually later, or from other suppliers, generally means costing more and issues with compatability. |
