Tick of approval for Oliver Rural    Printers

Color Printers are one of the most important peripherals for computers and networks.

They may be a small portable unit, a desk mounted printer or a large networked office unit. All have very specific operating benefits and one is not better than another rather they are different to cater for the varied needs of us, the consumers.

How you connect to your Color Printer from you PC or laptop can vary from direct serial cable (not as common as it was), USB (most common now), network (most office locations) or wireless (usually bluetooth).

Each of these has its advantages in terms of speed of printing and reliability of link. The USB connection is the fastest and most reliable though the bluetooth connection is usually the most convenient, especially for a laptop.

Are You Getting Value
The host of manufacturers that produce cheaper color printer models is both an advantage and a disadvantage to us. The advantages in competition is that apart from lower prices they must all be doing their utmost in design and technical improvements so that all the printers (inkjet, laser, thermal, etc) are getting better and better in terms of functionality and performance (especially print quality ) so that we are getting better value for mony now than a few years ago. Which brand is superior relates more to the task that you require of the printer. If you are needing a photgraphic printer, a high volume mono printer or a small portable unit then each may be best served by different models or even different brands. I normally recommend only one or two types for my clients as I prefer to go for quality and reliability first, then consider operating costs and finally initial purchase price. That way I know what I have will do what I want for many years.
