LCD Screens

There are significant advantages with the new LCD (thin) monitors that are now becoming increasingly found in businesses and homes. As their prices reduce, and the choices of brands increases, we can seriously consider them if and when we are ready to upgrade or get a new system. The advantages include their size (thin), excellent image quality, very low power consumption (less heat), very low radiation emissions, are easier on the eye (less glare & eyestrain) as well as image (good looks). For general everyday office and home use they are ideal, it’s the financial considerations that usually dictate which one we choose.

Great Source of information is The IT Solution For you website

However if you are into games, playing with photo manipulation (graphics), or want a big screen without a huge hole in the budget you are better off with the traditional CRT (normal) monitor. The CRT monitor, particularly the flat screen, apart from being cheaper has superior graphics (colours & resolution) and refresh rates that ensure they will be around for many years to come yet.

We are a mobile business and if you need our services in your area please call us to see when we will be in your area.

An interesting point in comparing prices is in the way they compare screen sizes. The LCD size quoted is the actual screen size that you can see (measured diagonally) whereas the CRT screen loses about an inch of the quoted size as it is hidden under the plastic surrounds that hold it all together and so is not viable. So a 14” LCD is about the same as a 15” CRT monitor.
