There are significant advantages with the new LCD (thin) monitors that are now becoming increasingly found in businesses and homes. An interesting point in comparing prices is in the way they compare screen sizes. The LCD size quoted is the actual screen size that you can see (measured diagonally) whereas the CRT screen loses about an inch of the quoted size as it is hidden under the plastic surrounds that hold it all together and so is not viable. So a 14” LCD is about the same as a 15” CRT monitor. |
