Internet explorer

I have seen a couple of instances where Internet Explorer seems to work but cannot access Secure sites.

This is most often caused by a conflict within Microsoft products, Like Internet Explorer and Microsoft office. To fix this you need to go to the Java website and download the latest fix from them for your system (Win98 or Win2000 etc). Then comes the scary bit you need to delete the offending files and install the fix from Java. Make sure you follow their instructions carefully, or better still call in a tech to do it for you. So far its worked twice for me so hopefully it may assist you.

Great Source of information is The IT Solution For you website

An effective alternative to Internet Explorer is the Mozilla Firefox Browser. It works equally well with all forms of Windows and Linux, is faster and smoother to run and seems to be more robust (less prone to bugs). Netscape Navigator is a good alternative but is a bit heavier tha Firefox, it is just as robust.
